Georganics Review – Eco-Friendly Dental Care Products [UPDATED 2025] – Taking good care of your mouth doesn’t have to harm the planet. In our Georganics Review you can find out about eco-friendly dental care products.

You might be aware that most oral hygiene products we use daily have a negative impact on our environment, including toothbrushes, dental floss and toothpaste.

If, like me, you want to live a more sustainable life and reduce your impact on our planet, then you will be looking for more eco-friendly dental care products.

I was horrified to learn that most toothbrushes, dental floss and toothpaste tubes end up in landfill. There they can take hundreds of years to break down.

I didn’t want to contribute to that. So I started to look for products that will keep my mouth healthy without harming the environment. In this Georganics review I will share with you what I have learned about their sustainable dental care products.

In-Depth Georganics Review

Most of us don’t like changing their oral hygiene products once they have found the ones that work. So it can be hard to decide to swap to more eco-friendly alternatives.

Because I know this only too well, I want to make sure that my Georganics review tells you everything you need to know to swap with confidence.

To do that, I focus on the main factors that we use to make decisions, including results, value for money and sustainability.

Sustainability – Green Credentials

Green Credentials

The first factor I want to look at in my Georganics review is their green credentials. Too often companies try to show themselves as sustainable, when in reality, they are not.

And given that you are reading this review because you are looking for more eco-friendly dental care products, it’s one of the most important factors, right?

Georganics started with the wish to make natural oral care products that are good for our health as well as for the environment. The first thing I came across regarding this UK-based company is their Zero To Landfill (Z.T.L.) scheme. And I immediately loved it.

Basically, anything that cannot be recycled or composted at home, can be sent back to them for free. They then send it off to get recycled in the specialist facilities of TerraCycle.

That way they prevent anything they sell to end up in landfill. But they are going much further. I am really impressed with the measures they take to ensure that they have as little of an impact on our planet as possible.

Let’s start with their packaging. They use paper cardboard which is compostable at home. Even the ink they use to print on their packaging is vegetable ink. This means it’s harmless for our planet.

They also repurpose the cardboard boxes they get their deliveries in, by shredding them and using them as eco-friendly protection for the products they send to you.

Their delivery notes are also printed on recyclable paper, which is not always the case. And the paper tape they use means you don’t have to remove it before the box can go in the recycling bin.

Georganics do really take their mission that nothing should go to landfill very seriously. If only more companies would do that.

When it comes to their products, they use sustainable materials wherever possible. When plastic is necessary, that’s when the Zero To Landfill Scheme comes in.

But it’s not just plastic they try to avoid, they also only use natural ingredients. This is good for your health but also for our planet.

I have to say, I am impressed with the green credentials of this company.

Range Of Products

Georganics has a fantastic wide range of products. You can get anything you could ever need for your eco-friendly oral hygiene routine from them.

From brushing to flossing and rinsing, they have it all:

This is the biggest range of eco-friendly oral care products I have seen so far.

To make sure that this Georganics review is as useful as possible for you, I will look at the various products individually.

Beechwood Toothbrushes

Georganics beechwood toothbrush

Unlike most other brands, Georganics uses beechwood rather than bamboo. Beechwood works just as well as bamboo and is just as sustainable.

Maybe even more so, given that they get their beechwood from Switzerland from an FSC-certified supplier.

Because this is closer than China, where most bamboo comes from, and most bamboo toothbrushes are made, these beechwood toothbrushes have an edge when it comes to sustainability.

The bristles are made from BPA-free nylon and are made in Germany. Because the materials for these toothbrushes come from closer to home, they have a smaller carbon footprint than bamboo ones that come from China.

You can choose from medium, soft and firm bristles. And Georganics also have a beechwood toothbrush for children, which has a shorter handle.

The bristles have different colours depending on which bristles you choose.

Because the bristles can’t be recycled at home, you can snap off the head and send it to Georganics for free as part of their Z.T.L. scheme. They will then ensure it gets recycled.

An overwhelming majority of customers are very happy with the performance of the beechwood toothbrushes. They like the fact that they are eco-friendly while still giving their teeth a good clean.

The packaging the toothbrush comes in is made from cardboard and as such is compostable at home or can be put in the home recycling bin.

A great zero-waste toothbrush that cleans your teeth and keeps our planet clean too.

Beechwood Toungebrush

Georganics Toungebrush

The beechwood toungebrush is a great way to reduce bacteria in your mouth and prevent bad breath. It’s probably not a tool many people know of or use, but if you suffer from bad breath, it’s worth a try.

Georganics is the only sustainable dental care brand I found that offers this tool. It might be more niche, but everyone who uses a toungebrush will be thrilled to discover this sustainable one.

Like the toothbrush, the toungebrush also consists of a beechwood handle and recyclable BPA-free nylon bristles.

Snap off the head and send it back to Georganics via their Z.T.L scheme. The handle can be composted and nothing will end up in landfill.

A large majority of their customers love this toungebrush. They feel good about their clean tongues and their clear conscience.

Recyclable Electric Toothbrush Heads

Georganics recyclable electric toothbrush heads

If you use an electric toothbrush, you might feel bad throwing the brush heads away every three months. I know I did.

Georganics has the answer. Their electric toothbrush heads are recyclable. So you can send them back as part of their Z.T.L. scheme, and they get a new lease of life as a different product rather than lingering in landfill.

The only downside is that you also have to buy the Georganics electric toothbrush. A downside that is, if you already have one, and you are just looking for more sustainable replacement brush heads.

By the way, the toothbrush itself and the charger are also included in the Zero To Landfill scheme. So once they have reached the end of their life, you can also send them back to Georganics for free.

The majority of customers are happy with the brush they get with the recyclable toothbrush heads.

So if you are looking for a new electric toothbrush with recyclable replacement heads that give your teeth a good clean, then Georganics has you covered.

And if you have kids and want them to have eco-friendly toobrush heads, fear not, Georganics has you covered. They now have a kids range, with smaller brushheads and cute handles.

Sustainable Toothpaste, Tablets, Powder And Soap

Georganics toothpaste
Georganics toothpaste tablets
Georganics toothpowder

Looking for an eco-friendly alternative to traditional toothpaste tubes? Georganics has them all.

Most brands only have one or two, but they give you the choice between all of them. So if you are unsure which one is for you, you can always test them all.

Their toothpaste comes in a glass jar with an aluminium lid, both of which can be recycled at home. But you can also reuse the jar.

The toothpaste is used like a traditional one, but it’s non-foaming. You can choose between their mineral toothpaste, which doesn’t contain fluoride, and their fluoride toothpaste, which does.

You can choose between different flavours, which is great if you like variety. Georganics also sell a handy wooden spatula.

If you want to get away from toothpaste, why not try their mineral toothtablets. They come in a variety of flavours.

They don’t contain fluoride, so something to keep in mind. Toothtablets are easy to use: just bite on them and start brushing. Normally, there is no or less foam than with traditional toothpastes.

The tablets come in a glass jar with an aluminium lid, and you can buy refills, which come in a recyclable paper bag.

Want to try something else, then the toothpowder could be for you. Again, you have the choice of several flavours to suit every taste. Like other toothpowders, this one doesn’t contain fluoride. But powder is said to be better at removing stains.

It might need some time to get used to using toothpowders, but I know people who say they wouldn’t go back.

Toothsoap is the least known toothpaste alternative. It’s basically just a bar of soap, made to clean teeth. Sounds weird, but it works.

Wet your toothbrush and rub it over the soap a few times, then brush away. You can choose between peppermint and charcoal. The charcoal one also tastes of mint, but is infused with charcoal powder, which will whiten your teeth.

Again, the toothsoap doesn’t contain any fluoride and won’t foam. The soap comes in an aluminium tin, which can be recycled or reused.

There you are, if you want to get rid of these pesky plastic toothpaste tubes, Georganics has more than one solution.

Mouthwash Tablets And Oil-Pulling Mouthwash

Georganics mouthwash tablets
Georganics oil-pulling mouthwash

Georganics also offers eco-friendly mouthwash, which doesn’t contain any toxins that are bad for you and our environment.

Their mouthwash tablets are an eco-friendly way to rinse your mouth. They come in a glass jar with an aluminium lid, and you can also buy refills.

To use them, just put one tablet in a glass, add 10ml of water, wait until it’s dissolved and rinse for 30 seconds.

You can choose from various flavours to suit your taste. The Georganics mouthwash tablets don’t contain fluoride.

Because they are tablets rather than liquid, they are lighter to transport, which lowers their carbon footprint. So they are really a more eco-friendly alternative to traditional mouthwash.

Plus, there is no plastic involved, and you get a zero-waste option to rinse your mouth.

Oil-pulling mouthwash was a new one for me. It seems it’s an Ayurvedic technique, where you swish oil around your mouth.

This will then pull out bacteria and food pieces. The main difference to traditional mouthwash is that you have to swish it around your mouth for at least 5 minutes and up to 20 minutes.

This could add considerable time to your morning and evening routine, but people who use it swear by it.  The oil comes in an aluminium bottle which can be recycled at home. Like the tablets, the oil also doesn’t contain fluoride.

The reviews for both the oil and the mouthwash tablets are mostly positive and customers seem to love them.

Dental Floss

Georganics dental floss

My dentist always tells me that flossing is very important. But dental floss is bad for the environment. So it is great to see that Georganics has eco-friendly dental floss in their range.

First I have to say that this is an eco-friendly dental floss, not a plastic-free one. The floss is a corn-based PLA material, which is a polyester that is made from cornstarch.

It’s still plastic, but made from a renewable source rather than fossil fuel like traditional plastic.

There is currently no viable non-plastic material for dental floss apart from silk, which is neither vegan nor cruelty-free.

On their website Georganics say that the dental floss is compostable, which is true, but only through industrial composting.

This means it won’t compost in your home compost bin, because the conditions aren’t right. If you have access to an industrial composting facility, you can dispose of it there; otherwise you have to put it in the general waste bin.

Unfortunately, the floss can’t be sent back via the Z.T.L because floss can’t be recycled. It’s too small for that. But because it’s made from a sustainable source, it’s as eco-friendly as it gets at the moment.

The floss comes in a glass jar with an aluminium lid, and you can buy refills. There are three different flavours: orange, peppermint and spearmint.

Most customer reviews on their website are happy with their dental floss.

Beechwood Interdental Brushes

Georganics interdental brushes

Like dental floss, interdental brushes are another way to keep the areas between your teeth clean. They are said to work better than floss.

Georganics offers a sustainable option that is made of beechwood and recyclable bristles.

The handle is compostable at home and the nylon bristles can be sent back via the Z.T.L. scheme to be recycled. Packaging is, as always with Georganics, compostable/recyclable.

They offer three different bristle sizes to accommodate different gap sizes between teeth: ISO 0 (0.4mm), ISO 2 (0.5mm) and ISO 3 (0.6mm).

They come as a pack of 6 brushes and each brush lasts about a week.

Customers seem generally happy with these interdental brushes, especially that there is less plastic involved.

Chewing Gum

Georganics chewing gum

Most of us probably see chewing gum as something we used when we were children. But it actually is good for your teeth, as long as the gum is sugar-free.

The sticky gum removes food pieces and bacteria, which will prevent tooth decay and bad breath. Chewing also causes your mouth to produce more saliva, which will flush away more bacteria.

Who would have thought that chewing gum is good for your teeth? I just thought it was fun as a child.

Georganics‘ chewing gum is made from natural ingredients and comes in a glass jar with an aluminium lid. You can also buy refills.

They only offer one flavour: peppermint. But their customers seem to enjoy this chewing gum, even if it seems softer than traditional chewing gum.

Value For Money

value for money

Now that we have looked at the wide range of products in detail, let’s look at another important part of this Georganics review: the question if you get value for money.

After all, you won’t swap to more sustainable dental care products unless it’s worth it, right?

First let’s look at price levels in comparison with known brands. In most cases Georganics’ products are on par with or less expensive than equivalent products by known brands.

Given the quality you get combined with the fact that their products are much more sustainable than traditional ones, the prices are appropriate.

But you are getting so much more with Georganics‘ products, namely the knowledge that you are reducing your impact on our planet.

For me that’s what makes their products great value for money. They are not overpriced, and you can use them with a clear conscience.

Georganics Customer Reviews

Since we started to buy most things online, customer reviews have become an important part of our decision-making. I know that I always look at the reviews to find out what other customers think.

So it is only right that I include a section on their customers’ views in my Georganics review.

On Trustpilot, Georganics is rated as excellent with 4.2 stars out of 5 over 600 reviews. 84% of the reviews gave either a 4- or 5-star rating.

The overwhelming majority of their customers are very happy with their products. They love the company’s ethics and how they feel better for using their sustainable products.

Most of the negative comments on Trustpilot seem to be about the new dental floss. It appears there was a change, which didn’t go down well. They are also from 2021. Looking at more recent reviews on their website for the floss, the problem seems to be solved.

So I am very pleased that most customers are happy with the performance of the products and Georganics‘ ethics.

This gives you the confidence you need to try out their products and reduce your impact on our planet.

I have a huge respect level for this brand! They have only sustainable products, very friendly with our Planet. I’ve tryied and I am using their toothpaste and I really like them. I love the fact they are all natural and the reusable glass jars are so cute and usefull. Really like this brand and I will continue using their products and recommend them to everybody! ❤️

5-Star Review on Trustpilot

Excellent products. We love that the packaging is 100% recycled and that the product itself is vegan and will not contribute to the ill treatment of animals, as it’s cruelty free. We will buy again and we have shared the details of your products with friends, family & social media.

Keep up the good work 😀

5-Star Review on Trustpilot

Conclusion

So there you have it, I am very happy to conclude my Georganics review by saying that I can recommend their products.

They are going the extra mile to ensure that their products and business operations have the smallest impact on our environment as possible. And that is the kind of business ethics I love.

Georganics has a huge range of eco-friendly dental care products. Whatever you need to keep your mouth clean and healthy, they will have it.

The Zero To Landfill scheme means that you can send back to them almost anything that would otherwise end up in landfill for free. It couldn’t be easier to reduce your plastic waste while still taking good care of your mouth.

The vast majority of their customers agree and love their products.

So if you want to be part of a growing community of people who swap traditional products for eco-friendly ones, then give Georganics’ products a go. You will love the feeling you get from doing your bit for the planet.
