Faith In Nature Shampoo Bar Review [UPDATED 2025] – In my search for a solid shampoo for me, I came across Faith In Nature. I tried one of their shampoo bars and I will share my experience with you.
I’m on a mission to reduce the plastic waste that my family produces. And one way to do this is by swapping products I use in my daily life with more eco-friendly ones.
Shampoo bars seemed a good way to start. Because I know that many other people are trying to do the same thing, I decided to share my experiences in this Faith In Nature shampoo bar review.
Why I Chose Faith In Nature
First, I want to explain why I decided to give Faith In Nature a go. Because the reason I want to swap is that I’m looking to live a more sustainable life, the choice of brand is important for me.
Faith In Nature is a UK-based company, and they manufacture all their products in the UK. This means their carbon footprint is low, as they don’t have to ship the bars from overseas.
I also really like their ethos, which is to put nature first. They seemed to have thought it all through very well. From their plastic policy and closed loop scheme to them planting a tree for every order, which is done in partnership with TreeSisters.
No Synthetic Ingredients
And while the company has been going since 1974, they are still a family run business, which means there are no stakeholders who might water down their sustainability policies to increase profits.
They also use organic ingredients wherever possible, and their ingredient lists are shorter than some other shampoos, because they only use what is absolutely necessary.
These are all reasons why I decided to give their shampoo bars a go.

To make sure that this Faith In Nature shampoo bar review is as useful to you as possible, I will look at different criteria, such as results, range of products, and value for money.
I believe that you can only convince people to swap their liquid shampoos to solid bars if there is no compromise, so this will be my main question.
Results
One of the most important things about swapping from a liquid to a solid shampoo is if you get the same results, or better. So I could not skip this section in my Faith In Nature shampoo bar review.
The first thing I noticed when I took the solid bar out of the box was the smell. It’s a fresh smell that makes me want to wash my hair right now.
When I could finally use it, the bar lathered up very well, despite living in a very hard-water area. Because I have long, thick hair, I rubbed the bar directly on my hair.
Works Well Even In Very Hard Water
The lather had a light, fresh scent, which I loved. And the foam felt nice and soft when I massaged it into my hair.
Despite our very hard water, the lather washed out well and left no residue. That’s great news, because it also means that there is no transition period. Hurray!
I checked the ingredients and the shampoo bar contains two naturally derived cleansers, which explains why the bar works with hard water and there is no transition period. Yet, it is still made from 100% natural ingredients and therefore better for my hair, skin, and the environment.
After I dried my hair, it was soft and looked shiny and healthy.
Because I have long, thick hair, I normally use a conditioner. But I thought I would try it, given that the shampoo bar contained shea butter and argan oil.
And to my surprise, my hair was manageable. There were a few more knots in my hair than when I used conditioner, but all in all, I found it easy to brush my hair.
This is great news, because it means I don’t have to buy a conditioner, which is good for my purse and even better for the environment.
Scent Doesn’t Last
There is just one slight disappointment with the Faith In Nature shampoo bar. The lovely fresh scent did not stay in my hair for long.
I love to smell my hair, so I hoped that the scent would stay for at least a day. However, I do understand that naturally derived fragrances don’t last as long. So I can live with less scent if my hair is free of chemicals.
So to conclude this section of my Faith In Nature shampoo bar review, I was very happy with the results this solid shampoo gave me.
Range Of Products
Because we are used to most shampoo brands offering a wide range of various products to fit every hair type, I have included this section in my Faith In Nature shampoo bar review.
Faith in Nature offers four different solid shampoo bars, each with a corresponding conditioner bar.
They offer a bar for dry hair that contains coconut oil. Their Shea & Argan Shampoo Bar is ideal for curly hair and for everyone who wants to nourish their hair. I opted to try this bar as I have long, thick hair that needs a lot of nourishment.
Then they have a revitalising solid shampoo and a relaxing one that also nourishes your hair.
Lack Of Choice For Different Hair Types
While their bars cater to some hair types, if you have a sensitive scalp, suffer from dandruff or greasy hair, there doesn’t seem to be a bar for you. You can filter by hair types, but you can only choose between dry hair or normal hair.
This is a bit of a disappointment. However, they do have shampoos for more hair types in their bottled shampoo range. This gives me hope that they will add to their solid shampoo range in the future.
By the way, their liquid shampoos all come in refillable bottles. And the refill bottles can be sent back to them, so they can recycle or reuse them. All their plastic bottles have been melted down and remoulded since 1999, so even if they use plastic, they do all they can to reduce plastic waste.
And, according to their website, they are looking for solutions to stop using plastic altogether.
Quality
For me, it’s important that the products I use, especially on my body and hair, contain high-quality ingredients and no harmful nasties. So I wanted to include this section in my Faith In Nature shampoo bar review.
The Faith In Nature bars are natural shampoo bars. This means they only use ingredients that are 100% natural.
All the ingredients of their shampoo bar were either derived from plants or minerals, so no synthetic chemicals, which is great news. This also means all their products are SLS and paraben-free.
Because they are so careful about what goes into their shampoo bars, you get a really high-quality product. And all their shampoo bars are vegan and cruelty-free, which is very important to me, too.
Value For Money
We all want value for money, but when it comes to swapping, we want to make sure that we don’t have to pay more than before, while getting the same, if not better.
That’s why it’s important for me to also look at this factor.
Given that a shampoo bar lasts longer than a single bottle of shampoo, a direct price comparison is not possible.
Lasts Longer Than Liquid Shampoo
My Faith In Nature shampoo bar lasted longer than one large bottle of my liquid shampoo. In view of this, the Faith In Nature shampoo bars are good value for money, as they are cheaper than most other liquid shampoos.
Of course, you can get cheaper ones, but with these shampoo bars you will reduce the plastic in your bathroom and the plastic waste that you produce. And for me, that means they offer more value for their money than a liquid shampoo.
Apart from that, the results are brilliant, and I can even skip using a conditioner. So in my opinion, this shampoo bar is definitely good value for money.

While my review will give you a good insight into my experience, it is always good to know that other customers are also happy with the product.
On Trustpilot, they have a 4.6-star rating out of 5 stars, from close to 6,000 reviews. A whopping 93% of customers have rated Faith In Nature as ‘Excellent’ or ‘Great’.
As expected, the positive reviews all mention how much they love the products and how well they work. But one thing that stood out for me was that so many mentioned that they got fast delivery.
Most Negative Reviews About Deliveries
In a world where we’re so used to next-day delivery (thank you Amazon!), many small businesses struggle to satisfy this expectation. So it’s great to see when a family-run company can keep up.
Only 5% of all the reviews gave a 1- or 2-star rating, which isn’t much at all, especially given the number of reviews.
While some said their products didn’t work for them, the vast majority were complaining about deliveries. Faith In Nature use Evri for their deliveries, which we know can be hit and miss. It seems that whether you get your products or not depends on the Evri drivers in your area.
Faith In Nature does reply to 80% of negative comments, though in less than a week.
Faith in Nature came to my rescue! I was horrified to learn that the shampoo I had been using for years on my otherwise itchy, scaly and inflamed scalp had been withdrawn from the market but online searching suggested Faith in Nature shampoo bars might be an alternative. I was initially sceptical about a shampoo bar, but it works … a pleasant experience with so far no adverse reaction.

How Do You Use Faith In Nature Shampoo Bars?
If you have never used a shampoo bar, you probably wonder how to use it. That’s why I thought I’d explain this.
It’s really simple: you wet the bar with water and then rub it between your hands. When you have enough lather, you massage it into your wet hair.
Make sure all of your hair is lathered up, then rinse thoroughly. And you are done!
However, if you have long, thick hair like me, you might want to try the second method, which I found works better for me.
You wet the bar and then rub it directly against your hair. Rub it all over your hair until you are fully lathered up. Give your hair a good massage, then rinse thoroughly.
This also works better if you live in a hard water area.
How Long Does A Faith In Nature Shampoo Bar Last?
When I did my research, this question popped up a lot and I thought that it’s a good question.
The website doesn’t actually mention this. Which surprised me, as other brands do give an approximate estimate about how long their shampoo bars last.
That said, it’s not normally that accurate, as it depends on various factors. Such as how often you wash your hair and how much you use, which will depend on the length of your hair.
Will Last Twice As Long As Average Shampoo Bottle
Also, not all shampoo bars are the same size. Obviously, the bigger the bar, the longer it will last.
So it’s difficult to say how long a Faith In Nature shampoo bar lasts. But mine lasted more than twice as long as a large bottle of liquid shampoo.
Because a solid shampoo is basically the concentrated form of a liquid one, it will definitely last at least twice as long as an average bottle of shampoo.
How Do You Store A Shampoo Bar?
This might not be the first question you ask, but at some point in your journey to swapping your bottled shampoo to a solid bar, you might want to know. That’s why I thought I would cover this question in my Faith In Nature review.
Unlike liquid shampoo in a plastic bottle, a solid bar is unprotected. And if you store your bar incorrectly, it won’t last as long.
The most important thing is to keep your shampoo bar dry between uses. For me, that means I can’t leave it in the shower, because whenever someone uses it, my solid shampoo will get wet.
It’s Worth Getting A Soap Dish
Ideally, you want to buy some sort of soap dish or rack on which your bar can dry out after you have used it.
Most brands sell their own, so you can buy it at the same time as you buy your shampoo bar.
Once you have a dish or rack, make sure you keep it in a dry place, ideally out of direct sunlight.
