Delphis Eco Review: Eco-Friendly Cleaning With Professional Products [UPDATED 2025] – Conventional cleaning products use some of the most harmful ingredients for our environment. Changing to eco-friendly alternatives can make a big difference. Our Delphis Eco review looks at their offering of eco-friendly cleaners.

My journey to live a more sustainable life has led me to many brilliant UK companies that make products that don’t harm our planet. Delphis Eco is one such company.

Because I liked their ethos, I decided to try their cleaning products. My research has shown that conventional cleaning products harm our environment and us. So finding an environmentally-friendly alternative is vital if, like me, you want a sustainable cleaning routine.

In my Delphis Eco Review I will tell you how I got on with their cleaning products.

Why I Chose Delphis Eco

When choosing which products to try and review, we carefully scrutinise the companies to find truly eco-friendly businesses who are committed to making truly sustainable products. We look for companies that are based in the UK or Europe but no further afield.

They have to produce their products in the UK or Europe or if further afield then we look at what they do to reduce their carbon footprint. We also look for businesses whose ethos and mission revolves around the environment. 

And Delphis Eco is such a company. They are based right here in the UK and make all their products here as well. They only work with suppliers who agree to their net zero pledge and supply chain charter. They have really made a huge effort to make their business as sustainable as possible.

Delphis Eco only uses naturally derived ingredients which are biodegradable, so no nasty chemicals. Their products are even accredited with the EU Ecolabel, which certifies that their products are eco-friendly. And of course, none of their products have been tested on animals, and they are vegan friendly.

As for their packaging, they use recyclable plastic bottles that have been made 100% from consumer recycled plastic, mostly milk bottles. This is great, as it means that they don’t add to the huge amount of plastic that is produced every year or plastic waste, as it can be recycled.

However, I would like to see them move away from using plastic in future, because recycling won’t save our planet. It can help if we reduce and reuse. But for now, they help keep plastic out of landfill and our oceans, which is great.

Now that we have established that Delphis Eco is a truly sustainable company, let’s get to the review. To make it as helpful as possible, I will look at various decision-making factors.

These include performance, value for money and ease of use. 

Convenience

But let’s start with another important factor: convenience. Nowadays, we are so used to getting hold of what we want quickly and easily, that it’s an important consideration when we think about switching to a new product.

I used to buy my cleaning products in the supermarket, together with our weekly shop. But with most eco-friendly products, this isn’t an option. The good news is, you can buy Delphis Eco cleaning products on their website, which is highly convenient.

Effectiveness

Let’s move to a very important factor when it comes to cleaning products: their effectiveness. No Delphis Eco review would be complete without looking at the performance of the cleaners.

The sheer amount of different cleaners alone makes it impossible for me to try them all. But I also try to reduce the amount of different cleaners I use for the sake of the environment. So I have selected four of their products to try: toilet cleaner, floor cleaner gel, hob and oven cleaner cream and laundry powder.

Here I will share my experience of their effectiveness with you. Ready? Go!

Delphis Eco Cream Cleaner

I got this cream cleaner, because I wanted a cleaning product for the really tough dirt and my oven. I used Oven Pride but wanted an eco-friendly alternative without any of the nasty and harsh chemicals. 

I admit that I wasn’t too optimistic, as I have tried several cleaners before that just didn’t work. But boy oh boy, the Delphis Eco cream cleaner works a treat.

Not only did it clean my oven, it even managed to get rid of some stains on the glass door that Oven Pride didn’t get rid of. It just goes to show that we don’t need all these toxic, synthetic chemicals. 

So I decided to try it in other areas too. We have a white ceramic sink that stains easily. Tea and spice stains are the worst. With our regular multi-purpose cleaner, it was hard work to get it clean. My husband (yes, I have a gem of a husband who does his share of the cleaning), had to clean the sink twice to get it sparkling clean. 

He also had to put a lot of elbow grease into it. But the Delphis Eco cream cleaner cut through the dirt and grime with ease, leaving our sink shining after the first time.

I also tried on our induction hub. There were some burnt-on stains that my regular cleaner couldn’t shift, no matter how much I scrubbed. Delphis Eco cream cleaner to the rescue. Without any scrubbing the stains are gone!

Next I tried it in our shower. We have white tiles with white grouting. Despite regular cleaning, the grouting gets reddish in places. Nothing so far managed to get rid of the stains. 

And while it needed quite a bit of scrubbing, in the end the cream cleaner did the job. I’m over the moon with the performance of this product. It’s part of the kitchen cleaning bundle, and it’s probably the best cleaner of the lot.

Delphis Eco Floor And Surface Gel Cleaner

While most of our hard floors don’t get that dirty, the kitchen and the porch areas do. Whether this is mud brought in from outside or stains from cooking. So a good floor cleaner is a must.

It’s no surprise that the Delphis Eco floor gel cleaner did a great job. No matter what dirt and grime sticks to our floors, after a wish with the mop it’s gone. But what I love the most is that I don’t need much at all. 

Although it says to use 30ml for 2.5l of water, I only need a squirt. I suspect that it’s been made to cope with school or restaurant floors, but in our home, a much smaller quantity suffices.

Because we have cats, one of which always has to investigate as soon as I moped the floors, I want a floor cleaner that doesn’t contain harsh, toxic chemicals. They walk on the wet floors, then lick their paws. It really gives me peace of mind to know that while not harmless, the floor cleaner is made from plant-based ingredients.

And because I don’t have to use much of the cleaner at all, it’s highly diluted and even less of a risk to my cats.

Delphis Eco Toilet Cleaner

Because we live in a rural area, our property is served by a private sewage treatment plant. This means we can’t use harsh chemicals such as bleach, not that I would want to.

Finding a toilet cleaner that is safe for septic tanks is rather difficult anyway, so I was pleased to find that the Delphis Eco toilet cleaner was safe to use for us. It’s part of the bathroom bundle, which is no surprise really.

I often found that eco-friendly toilet cleaners didn’t work. Well, this one does. No bleach or harsh chemicals in sight, but it still keeps your toilet looking and smelling clean. 

It’s great to know that we don’t add any harmful chemicals to the environment and still can have a clean toilet.

Delphis Eco Laundry Powder

It’s the first time I have tried an eco-friendly laundry powder. And while it was a bit tricky to figure out the dosage, the performance is amazing.

Stains are no problem for the Eco Delphis laundry powder, whether it’s everyday stains or more tough ones. Most of the tough ones came out in the wash, so I would say it’s just as good as any of the conventional ones.

And the laundry also smells fresh, even if the scent is only subtle. But that’s because they don’t use synthetic fragrances, instead they use essential oils.

Based on my experience with these four products, I have no doubt that all of their cleaners will perform brilliantly. They seemed to have found a way to harness the power of plants to keep our homes clean and fresh.

Delphis Eco Washing Up Liquid

Because I was so impressed with the performance of the Delphis Eco cleaning products, I decided to also try the washing up liquid. It’s one of those cleaning products I really want to be free of nasty chemicals.

First, because it touches my hands as I can’t use rubber gloves, even eco-friendly ones. So I don’t want any toxic ingredients in the washing-up liquid. Second, I clean our plates and pots with it which we use for our food.

So again, I’m not keen on using a product that contains harsh chemicals, even if I rinse everything well. The Delphis Eco washing up liquid delivers on that front.

And I’m pleased to say that it’s also powerful, making washing the dishes less of a chore. Burnt or dried on food is no problem, as the washing up liquid easily cuts through it.

And for particular stubborn dirt, such as the roast chicken tray, just add a bit of the product, not much at all, and top with boiling water from the kettle. Leave for a while, 10 minutes seems to work, and then clean as normal.

Ease Of Use

Next up: how easily do Delphis Eco cleaning products clean? Eco-friendly cleaning products have a reputation of only cleaning well if you put a lot of elbow grease in. While this is true for some, it’s not true for all.

Delphis Eco make cleaning exceptionally easy. You don’t even notice that you use sustainable cleaning products. I guess that’s down to the company’s experience in professional cleaning products. They know what works best.

As I have already said, the cream cleaner is extremely powerful and cuts effortlessly through the toughest stains, dirt and grime.

Value For Money

The next factor I want to discuss in Delphis Eco review is value for money. The price for the smaller bottles (500ml or 700ml) is a bit more expensive than most conventional cleaners.

However, for most of the products you can buy 2l refills, which are mostly concentrated. Each of these refills will give you up to 6x 700ml bottles of cleaner, making them very cost-effective.

In fact, by buying the big refill bottles, you can save money. But if you want to save money from the start, get one of their handy cleaning products bundles and get all the cleaners you need for a lower price.

On top of that you get eco-friendly cleaners that work without harming the planet. And all the bottles are made from 100% consumer recycled plastic and can be recycled again.

Now that’s what I call value for money.

Customer Reviews

I have shared my own experience with the Delphis Eco products I have used. But I always like to also look at what other customers think. The more happy customers, the more confidence you can have.

Delphis Eco has 4.7 stars out of 5 on Trustpilot from over 170 reviews. 94% of their customers have rated them either ‘Great’ or ‘Excellent, giving them a 4- or 5-star rating.

The vast majority of their customers are happy and love their eco-friendly cleaning products just as much as I do. And I can also see that the products I didn’t get to try are also highly rated, which is great news.

People seem to be really impressed with the performance of these sustainable cleaners. But many also mention the company’s ethos and the lack of harmful synthetic chemicals which they love.

Only 6% of reviews weren’t as happy and gave a 1-, 2- or 3- star review. These negative reviews are mostly concerned with issues with shipping. But these are things that just happen, but it doesn’t look like it happens often.

And Delphis Eco do respond to some of the negative comments and try to find a solution for the unhappy customer.

So all that’s left to do now in my Delphis Eco review is to deliver my verdict. It probably comes as no surprise to you that I’m a huge fan and can’t recommend them highly enough.

It really shows that this company has over 16 years of experience in professional cleaning products. Their cleaners work wonderfully well without having to put in much effort.

But at the same time, they are made from plant-based, biodegradable ingredients that won’t harm our environment. They use 100% consumer recycled plastic for their bottles, which can then be recycled again.
